After you have the lower end together, dump 1/2 quart of oil in the crank cases before you put the barrels and pistons on.use a oil pump to squirt some oil into the oil passage at the end of the pinion gear that feeds oil to the crank pin bearings.dump another little bit of oil in the cam chest before you button up the lifter blocks. For future reference: Generally, on a fresh motor you should lube everything as it goes together.assembly lube is best, but plain ol' motor oil will do.
